Aware Parenting in the United States of America
The Aware Parenting Institute is an international organization founded by Aletha Solter, Ph.D. (a Swiss/American developmental psychologist). The Aware Parenting approach is described in her books, which are available from most online booksellers.
Aletha Solter lives near Santa Barbara, California, and has been leading workshops for parents and professionals since 1985 in the U.S. and 17 other countries. In the U.S., she has led workshops in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Virginia, and Washington.
